Dato' Dr. Siow Kuang Ling pursued his medical studies at Fukushima Medical University, Japan. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1971 and was later awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) by Fukushima Medical University in 1978.

In 1979, Dato' Dr. Siow completed professional acupuncture studies at the Beijing Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He subsequently obtained his General Surgery qualification as a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons in 1985. Through his extensive expertise in both Western medicine and traditional Chinese acupuncture, many patients have benefited from his integrated approach to healthcare.

Dato' Dr. Siow is also well known for his contributions to medical innovation. Among his notable inventions is CircumStar™, a next-generation male circumcision device that has gained international recognition for improving the efficiency and safety of circumcision procedures in Johor Bahru and beyond. Today, the device is widely associated with modern Johor Bahru circumcision services and has contributed to advancements in circumcision in Johor.

拿督萧光麟医学博士曾在日本福岛医科大学进行医学研究，并于1971年获得医学学士及外科学士学位（MBBS），随后于1978年获得福岛医科大学哲学博士（Ph.D.）学位。
